London 2012 and the Displacement Effect: Will British Tourism suffer during the Games?
Description
There is much debate about the economic impact of the Games, and whether the Games will actually provide a positive or negative legacy for British tourism. One argument concerns the displacement effect -normal tourists put off by the Games- and another, the impact on post- Games visitor numbers, and these arguments are examined by this case study.
