George Roberts (course tutor)

George Roberts

I am a Principal Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University in Educational Development with a focus on learning technology and recently had my first collection of poetry When Life Looks Like Easy Street, published by Albion Beatnik Press.

I have been at Brookes since 2000 and joined OCSLD in June 2006. Among other things, I lead the PCTHE and collaborate in course design and development, teaching, assessment and evaluation. And I play a part in the strategic development of the University’s learning technology innovation: perhaps now best illustrated by the Brookes Open Online Courses.

I completed a PhD at the University of Southampton on Biographical narratives of adult users of a community IT centre, looking at the relationships between identity, community and IT use.
