The Nursing and Midwifery Council has launched a series of short films and and online resource hub to help nurses and midwives confidently recognise and effectively manage situations where they suspect a person in their care is at risk of harm, abuse or neglect, including poor practice. The films highlight a range of circumstances and situations in which abuse occurs and encourage viewers to think about how they would act in similar situations. They are supported by by discussion guides and a PowerPoint presentation which can be adapted to suit training and education needs.
