Critical appraisal of quantitative research- a worked example.

Description

The content of this resource includes the use of a rapid critical appraisal tool, which is applied to a published research report, which had been searched for by a group of postgraduate students. This is in order to demonstrate critical appraisal skills and relevant statistical concepts. The resource has been used within the VLE in order to support face-to-face teaching in the UK and Hong Kong and also with online distance learning students.

This was useful to explain some complex statistical concepts and has been used on the following programmes: MSc Nursing Studies ( Hong Kong), MSc Nursing studies ( online distance delivery) and Non-medical prescribing.
