This study explores the use of Human Givens ideas within the field of executive coaching. The research was undertaking using a phenomenological approach which sought to understand the lived experience of six executive coaches who had employed some of the Human Givens ideas during their work as executive coaches. Unstructured interviews were conducted and findings suggest overall that the Human Givens ideas could usefully inform coaching practice, but that they should not ultimately define it.
