Developing leaders for a Digital Age
Online Action Learning Sets
Protocols for Communication
We suggest simple default ground rules to begin with. You may change these with the agreement of your set.
Your audit of digital leadership in your context is yours to share as you will. Others' remain confidential. They may share theirs but not yours.
Keep to the "Chatham House Rule".
When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.
Time is limited and there will be a number of you in the set. You must balance between giving and receiving in two key ways:
Divide your time in the set into four approximately equal parts, and divide the comments as equally as possible or necessary between the other participants:
Respectful, professional, collegial communication means sharing understndings of appropriate tone (formal/informal) and style of writing. It should go without needing to say that comments should be on the work and words, not character or culture of individuals in the set or beyond.
