Mosaic ashtray

Abstract

Square metal ashtray lined with small green ceramic mosaic tiles in a white plaster material. New craft products, enabling patients to decorate objects with mosaic, became available during the late 1950s-1960s. The mosaic ashtray is one of several mosaic samples made by Eileen to show her patients what they could make and how to do it.
