Italian Cinema Audiences was a collaborative research project exploring cinema audiences in Italy in the 1950s funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). This collection shares the videos that were taken of interviews with elderly Italians about their experiences of cinema in the 1940s and 1950s.
For more information about the project please visit italiancinemaaudiences.org. For information about the follow-on project Mapping cinema experience as living knowledge across Italy's generational divide please see the Research Councils UK project page.
